Hello Barbara, I am afraid I do not have any information for you, but would like to know if any of my family could connect with yours. What I have is not in stone, but just may be you will know something. I think my g-grandparents Elizabeth Symonette and James D. Webb were married at the Parish of St. John, Harbour Island in the early 1870's. This according to the pension records of my g-grandfather they were married my the Rector W. H. Strombom. The spellings of (Strombom) was given to me by Peter Strombom. Cannot find Peter's message just now but, think he wrote that, W. H. Strombom was his gg-grandfather. Elizabeth and James had 3 children that I know of, Harriet N.(my grandmother; James Herbert and Gracie. My grandmother said that her father was a lighthouse keeper and have a list of lighthouses that he supposedly watched. I have not been able to find any evidence as yet. When my grandmother (Harriet) married she showed the name Demeritt. When she applied for pension from my grandfather she stated, Demeritt was a family name. Would like to hear from you.
