Harbour Island, before 1850, Albury, etc

Just returned from Harbour Island. Great place for a vacation, but not for ancestor hunting. All vital statistics in Nassau. No old tombstones in cemeteries. If you have not seen the book, "Homeward Bound, a History of the Bahama Islands to 1850", by Sandra Riley, published by Island Research, 6501 S. W. 62nd Ct., South Miami, FL 33143, try to find it. It has, as they say, more than you really want to know about Bahamas hisory, but is really detailed and has a lot about the Abacos especially. I found info about several ancestors in there. I am going to try to find out if she has written another book about more recent history. Zada
