Okay some more info, courtesy of Tempe Bagot (an Australian relation) who is lurking elsewhere in the forum...okay, the Bagots that I have married into originate from the Caloringham Counts of Artois in Flanders...perhaps something to do with Bagot d'Arras. I am still trying to get a hold of the scripts that my wife's grandfather wrote to see what else there is that may be of assistance.
