I am trying to find Robert Wood BAGOT, who was a Captain in the 47th Regiment (half-pay) in 1819. He was married to Letitia Edgar De Main O'Connor (widow with 2 teen-age children). The whole family emigrated from Northamptonshire to South Africa aboard the ship "Northampton" from Gravesend on 13 Dec. 1819.

In 1819 Robert BAGOT was listed as a Northamptonshire farmer from Kingsthorpe. We think he married his wife in Ireland. We also think that she was from Ireland.

Any information please contact me. I am so frustrated!
