I have heard from my grandmother (Audrey Bagot) that the first recorded Bagots were in England when the "Dooms Day Book" was first written back in 1066. Apparently, one of William The Conqueror's companions (a bit like a general, I believe) was a Bagot. There is some refference to this carved on a stone above the door in a church in Brittany or Normandy, though I can't remember where exactly. The name may also have been slightly different (Bagod?). Anyway, after William conquored England in 1066, he rewarded his companions with land. In one of my history text books, there was a map of the U.K. with who had been given which areas of England as a gift, and the name Bagod was again present. They appear to have controlled most of the East Anglia area of England.
I am afraid that this is about all I know of how the Bagot family came to England. The source of this was (I think) my grandmother's grandfather and the information was, I am told, from Somerset House where all the registry information in England is held.
I hope this message is of some help to you. Oh, and sorry about the lack of French in the message.
