Hi William,
I know practically zilch about my Bagot ancestry - they were very secretive about it. My grandfather was Edward Henry Bagot, died in NZ 1952 aged 66 so must have been born around 1886. He married Theresa Elizabeth Bushnell and my father (their eldest child) was born in Andover July 11, 1908. He's the only one born in the UK. They came to New Zealand about 1909-10. Grandfather was a "remittance man" meaning his family paid him to leave England and stay away! I would dearly love to know who his and her parents were. Possibly she was a good deal older than him. Information from anyone who reads this would be hugely appreciated.
