Hi Helen, My Grandfather's name was Richard Bagnall, same as my name and he was married to Florence Butterworth and I believe her family came from Wales. They came from the Manchester/Oldham area of England. My cousine Florence is the Genealogist in our family and she is back in New York. I need to get in touch with her to get the details on the family and perhaps my great grandfather's name. I do know they left England and emigrated to Canada in the early 1900s and then on into the US. My dad Robert Bagnall was born in the US in 1921 so I know they were in the US by then. My grandparents had eight kids, Harold, Albert, Ruth, Mona, Joseph, William and Robert (my Father) I am missing one can't remember the name. I think my dad went up there during WWI when he was stationed there and tried to find information on the family but he had said that the church had been bombed and the records destroyed or something...so maybe between you and me we can reconstruct the crime. I would think that my grandparents would be in the same generation as your great grandparents. I will try and get my grandparents brothers and sisters names and maybe you can do the same and we can compare...You can maybe ask about Richard Bagnall who emigrated to Canada and we can start from there. I go by Rick and live in Spokane, Washington State and have lived all over this country. My mother is in Florida and so is my brother Michael. He married a lady from Ireland and he travels there every couple years...Small world...I was stationed in Holland for four years and did make it to London once for a week...I loved Europe. Well I must go for now, Drop a note from time to time....My E-mail at work is rbagnall@avistaadvantage.com and my home e-mail is rtbagna@aol.com. C-ya Helen Rick
