William Bagnall b. in Scotland, m. 5 Apr 1846 in Gorbals, Lanark, Scotland to Jane Grant dau. of James Grant and Christina Fisher, came to America bef.1850. He was a baker/confectioner who had various bakery shops in Richmond, Va. He and Jane had three children - Robert Grant b. 1847 in Scotland, Christina Fisher b. VA married Thomas MacNamee, and William M., Jr died 1887.
William died in 1880 and is buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond; Jane died in Richmond in 1917 and is buried in Baltimore, where son Robert G. had moved.
There are several Bagnall's in Richmond at the time the family lived there. All were in the bakery business and lived either together or very close. Some of their names include John C., James and wife Ann E.,and Robert and wife Jessie. We have no proof as to the relationship of these people, but feel they must be related.
ANY information on this BAGNALL line would be greatly appreciated as we have had no success finding the parents of William Bagnall.
