Looking for William BEGGS

Hello to All. I am searching for my great great grandfather William BEGGS. I believe that he was born in Scotland. I am guessing between 1800 & 1840. My great grandfather, Joseph BEGGS was born ABT 1862 in "Eng Canada", which I assume is Ontario. I have no information on William's wife (Joseph's Mother) except that she too was born in "Eng Canada". I found William's name on a Federal US Census 1910 Michigan, that Joseph had filled out. Also William's name showed up on Joseph's marriage certificate to Clara(h)GREEN. They wed 31AUG1904 in Colfax Township, Oceana County, Walkerville, Michigan. Joseph also died in this place on 3NOV1911. My grandfather Francis (Frank)Leon BEGGS born 2NOV1904 in Colfax Township, Michigan, as were his brother and sisters. Archibald (Archie)McClain b. 25DEC1906, Thelma b. 1909, and Madeline (Midge) b. 1JAN1911.
Clara(h) remarried twice after Grandpa Joe died, her next husband was Benjamin PHELPS. They wed in 1916 or 1917. I believe my aunt, Lena Mabel BEGGS was Mr. PHELPS child as she was born in June 1914, and although Clara and Benjamin weren't married at this point, she was signing her name as Clara(h) PHELPS. However, on his death certificate it said he was a widower. This was false. Next she wed Freeman McClary, he died about 20 years after they wed. Clara(h) died at the age of 101 on 6APR1977 in Whiteledge Nursing Home in Muskegon County, Whitehall, Michigan.
Any information is greatly appreciated, wanted and needed. Thank you to everyone in advance.
Happy Hunting!
