Sorry for delay in replying - e mail problems. Unless you are more specific it is difficult to help. Someone else mentioned a connection with the Bankes family, but I doubt it very much. the Bankes were an old aristocratic family and for the most part the Baggs in Dorset were agricultural labourers/fishermen. There was a Sir James Bagg around in 17th/18th C lost his details for the moment - but I'm not sure whether he was a Dorset man. Keep in touch. There seems to be a connection with Norfolk. They probably all connect up somewhere.
