My Great Grandfather 's Civil War Pension Papers states he was born 1822 Sampson County North Carolina. His name was William
K. Baggett. I am thinking he is from Elias Baggett. Elias first son was Peter. They all came down early 1800's to Grady (Thomas) County Georgia. I read one place that that area was called "little Sampson County" because so many people came from there. If you need anymore info I may have let me know.
There is a Baggett Community still there in Sampson County I stopped at a little Wilson's Grocery Store to pry a bit and just
did not look up those people. My great would have been a young boy when they left there.
Thank you...
