The parents of Abel W. Baggett were Elisha Baggett and wife Caroline Breedlove. Caroline was a daughter of William Watkins Breedlove and wife Lucy ?Steambridge (Lucy was 1st. married to a Warren).
Nettie Lee Baggett (dau. of Abel W. Baggett and Frances R. Bell) married Robert Lee Wesley on March 21, 1895 in Clay Co., AL. She was his 2nd. wife. Robert had 1st. married Della A. Griffin May 2, 1889 in Clay Co.; and had one child by that marriage - a son named Grady Vernon Wesley b. Nov. 1891. The children of Robert and Nettie Wesley were (in order):
Nora Lee Wesley b. Feb. 3, 1896
Clarence Elno Wesley b. July 28, 1902
Lillie Frances Wesley b. 1903
Naoma Wesley
Fannie Myrtle Wesley b. May 3, 1907 (My grandmother)
Robert Cornelius Wesley b. Dec. 21, 1909
Willie Hubert Wesley
Nellie Mae Wesley b. Aug. 21, 1914
Rutha Roberta Wesley b. May 19?
All of these children were born in Clay Co., AL. I personally knew all of them, except for Grady Vernon, and Nora Lee.
Robert Lee Wesley was b. Sept. 15 1868. He was a son of Jackson L. Wesley and wife Nancy Ann Beauchamp. Robert died 11 May 1945 in Talladega Co., AL. Nettie Lee Baggett was b. May 20, 1881 and died Nov. 24, 1939 in Talladega Co., AL. Both of them are buried at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery located about 8 miles north of Talladega, AL.
