Ref posting of Joseph Baggett, 11 Nov:

Pleasant H. BAGGETT is my gggrandfather. He was born c 1830 in GA. He married Melissa Amenia Minerva BERRYHILL 24 Mar 1851 in Talapoosa County, AL The family moved to Nacadoches County Texas shortly thereafter. Twelve children were born to this union:

Allen (c1853), Matilda (c1854), Mary (c1856), Ellender (c1858), Sarah (c 1859), Eliza (c 1860), John (c1862), James (c 1865), Enoch (c1866) Silas (c 1869), T. E. (c1871), and D. A. (c1876).

Other than the family being listed among destitute family of soldiers in Nacadoches County during Civil War and eligible for assistance, I don't really have any information, except for Ellender who is my ggrandmother.

She married John S. RAY 8 Feb 1877. They moved to Johnson County Texas and then on to Creek Nation, I. T.
