Hi Barbara!
I have a mystery man William R. BAGGETT in my line, and wonder if he may be the same as yours.
One source says my William R. (date of birth unknown), was the son of Thomas David BAGGETT b abt 1841, with siblings:
Mary Susan BAGGETT
Sarah M. BAGGETT
Micheal BAGGETT
Andrew Day BAGGETT
Elizabeth (3 )June BAGGETT, b abt 1861
(Which I know doesn't fit with your's, but possibly your's was a brother to Thomas David?)
Another source I have doesn't report any parents for my William R., but shows him with the same siblings, except it omits Elizabeth (3) June BAGGETT.
I have another Thomas David BAGGETT, b 4/20/1847 in MS (probably Harrison Co) who has a son William Robert BAGGETT, b 8/22/1856 in FL, but the other children don't match the ones above, for siblings of William R. the mystery man.
I also have a George Riley BAGGETT, b 8/24/1864 location unknown, d 1/2/1904, which makes me wonder if Riley was a family name in this line.
I know this is a long shot, but thought it worth a try. Please let me know if you see anything that connects with your line.
