I am looking for my family members who first lived in Philadelphia and later moved to California. Samuel BAER (9/25/1884-3/21/1961) and Ida SACHS BAER (5/1/1889-6/25/1943), lived in Philadelphia where Samuel was a Baker. Samuel was my great grandfather's brother.
I have been told that he was was making one of his late night deliveries when he ran over a man and killed him. He was afraid he would be arrested and jailed so he moved his family to California.
There were three children: Bessie BAER (1/5/1909-8/22/1949) who later married Louis Colton; Albert BAER (2/22/1911-9/1/1979; and Robert BAER 1/3/1919-3/28/1984.
I know that Bessie and Louis had a son named Barry (6/22/1934-3/13/2008) who married a Laurel GRANT.
This is all I know.
