Just found out my paternal grandmother is Gertrude Baer who married Arthur Francis Buker in 1923 in Dorchester County, Maryland. She died in December of 1960 in Baltimore.
I've been told she had at least 2 sisters, Viola and Catherine(or some variant of that name.) Her father was Joseph Baer and he died at a Soldiers Home in Philadelphia. I'm trying to find a direct link to an ancestor who fought in the Civil War in order to join the "Sons of Union Civil War Veterans" as a full member since the Buker link did not pan out. My fathers family is fairly closemouthed or not knowledgeable.
Thanks for any help or advice on this string of the Baers.
