Hi,

Just thought you might like to know there was a Baer family in the Lake Mills, Jefferson County, WI area in the mid-1850's. There are still some family members living in that area.

You may want to contact the Dodge/Jefferson Counties Genealogical Society to see if they have any materials collected on that family. The url for their site is: http://www.dodgejeffgen.com/

I have copies of the plat maps for Jefferson County for 1862 & 1870. Let me know if you want me to look for Baer on the maps.

Incidentally, I also have a friend who is descended from the Baer family in Jefferson Co., WI.
