I have a website with my Badden info listed at:

My name is Jamie (Pettry) Wood. I descend from William Badden, b. 1802 Elgin Scotland d. 1870 East Zorra, Ontario, Canada, who married Ann Anderson in 1829. Their children were James, William Jr., Alexander, John, George, Margaret, Francis and Ann. I descend from their daughter Ann who married Thompson Walton Wilson. They moved to Cabell County, and both are buried at Spring Hill Cemetery. Their son William Leslie Wilson moved from Cabell County to Hinton, WV where he married Beatrice Hill. Their daughter, Eleanor Willis Wilson was my grandmother.

I would love to find more info on this family. Have pics of some of Ann's siblings as well. Please email at

Ann Badden's obituary from The Huntington Herald-Dispatch, Wednesday Morning, February 18, 1925:

MRS. T. W. WILSON Mrs. T. W. Wilson, who would have been 80 years old next Sunday, February 22, died at her home on Bridge street, Guyandotte, Tuesday evening at 5:10 o`clock. She had been ill one week, a victim of broncho-pneumonia. Her death occurred just a year and three days after that of her husband, a prominent businessman and former mayor of Guyandotte, who succumbed on February 14, 1924. Before her marriage Mrs. Wilson was Miss Anne Badden of New Hamburg, Canada. She became the wife of Mr. Wilson at an early age and they lived for a time in Canada, before coming to West Virginia with their family in 1880. Mr. Wilson first engaged in the lumber business on New River, but in 1880 he transferred his operations to Guyandotte and established his residence there. She is survived by five children, three daughters and two sons, as follows: Mrs. H. F. Mann, of Hinton; Miss Anne Wilson and Miss Stella Wilson, at home; and William L. Wilson and John G. Wilson, of Hinton. She also leaves three brothers, Francis Badden, of Alberta; William Badden, of Woodstock, Can.; and Alexander Badden of Iowa. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 2:30 o`clock Friday afternoon. Burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery. Note: T. W. Wilson came to Guyandotte in 1884, not 1880 as stated in the obituary of his wife Anne Wilson.
