can you tell me if you have a Cornelius WINGATE in your line. my GG Grandfather Cornelius WINGATE was born in 1804 S.C. m. to an unknown from Ireland. i have hints here and there on him but nothing i can find any proof of. he moved to Miss.abt. 1830/32 where the unknown died. they had children by then , he remarries in 1850 to an Elmira Haynes. one researcher has told me she thinks Cornelius would be son of Edward WINGATE. Another says he may be son of William Hancock Wingate. I am doing all my searching online, plus sending off to a couple of places for info. so far cannot find this WINGATE. thanks for any help or info or advice. carlene in texas
