I am the GGG granddaughter of Laban Bacot and have most of the Bacot geneology. There are a couple of books:

Source Records from Pike County, Mississippi
1798-1910 by Williams and Conerly This is a reprint of Luke Ward Conerly's book 1909 with 99 of the original book has a sketch of the Bacot's starting with 1597 Tours, France to Laban Bacots second marriage to Margaret Moore Love With a list of their children.

The second book Alstons & Allstons of North and South Carolina has a sketch of the Bacots from Samuel Bacot Jr who married Sarah Margaret Allston and were the parents of Laban Bacot.

Of note both of these books are printed by Southern Historical Press in S. Carolina. The Editor is married to a decendant of Allston. I spoke with him a number of years ago as he reprinted this book for their anniversary. I have a letter written in 1899 regarding the writing of the original book by S.Carolina relatives requesting info on MS relatives.

The Bacot Bible does exist and a different branch than mine has it. They do not share as I have given them photos and letters and never received promised copies. My grandmother said it takes family back to France but can not verify that.

Regarding Martin connection: in my great-grandmothers personal items I found a page from the martin bible. I will try to put my hands on it in next few days and will cop it.
