The mill has become a part of a greater Heritage Village with a museum and buildings of the era. I received a personal guided tour through the region to visit all of our family farm sites, one where the first mill used to be (before the waters kept washing out the mill dam to sink the mill into oblivion) as well as the one still in operation at Heritage Village. The Backhouse homestead is also on display near the mill. And the Pioneer Cemetery is along the creek (take mosquito spray).

To visit Heritage Village you want to head for Port Rowan that is by Long Point. When you get to that small town, you can ask anyone and they'll direct you to the mill site.
