Hi...My great grandmother was Agnes Back Lawrie who was born in Berwick-on-Tweed on 14th may 1872 at 33 Mary Street. She married Thomas Matthews and went to live in Wallsend when she was 18. I have heard that during the war (2nd I think) all Lauries were evacuated but no trace I have found of them since in Berwick. My Great Grandmother emmigrated to Australia in 1929. the My great grandfather died and is buried in Newcastle (i think) I have been there and have a photo of the grave. Does anyone have a connection? This is all the
information I have. I would love to be in contact plus find out as much as I can about my family history and all its connections.
