Hi there Jacqui, many thanks for your kind offer of assistance. The details I can provide are as follows and all derived from Bertha's wedding cert.
The marriage took place on 25/12/1904 in the Parish Church, (it does not say where) after banns were called.Bertha's age is given as 30 and she was a spinster without rank or profession and was living at 227 Grosvenor Buildings (or possibly "Mansions")but that is all the address I have. Her husband William Joseph Higgins, my grandfather is shown as living at 58 Bol(e)yn Ave/Rd? East Ham and I am therefore assuming ,wrightly or wrongly,it could be East Ham Parish where the wedding took place.
George's profession is shown as "Builder" and Ada is a witness signatory so her relationship to Bertha is not clear.The other witness was a poshly named Adrian Beaumont Gilles, who seems slightly out of place unless he was a church official of some sort.The only other info I can provide is that the "Vicar" was H Moseley.
