Hello Sarah,
I'm looking for information on Maria Anna Bachmann (1766-1826) who m. Johan Staab (1758-1828) and had a daughter Margaretha Staab 16 April 1804 Heigenbruecken, Aschaffenburg, Bavaria. I'm not sure about the dates for Maria Anna and Johan as they were given to me undocumented. Their names came from the marriage record of their daughter If you have anything on either of these people, I'd be most appreciative.
As for LDS: that's the Morman church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) established in the US and now around the world. Members believe in baptizing ancestors of members so the Church has filmed many records of all kinds around the world which are available in local LDS libraries on microfiche. These can help members learn who their ancestors are. Members also submit their ancestry to Church headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah, and these are available, also. Many of these latter submissions have not been documented but give clues to follow up. The Church has a website at familysearch.org which you might like to visit. I am not a member but have used their libraries in several cities in the US.
