The Catalog of the Philadelphia Antique Show, 2009, on p. 45 pictures in an ad a fine portrait of Amelia Bachman (1850-1937), age 6, of Newburgh, NY, in the year 1856 by the American portrait artist William Matthew Prior. Unfortunately, the ad gives no further information about Amelia. This fine portrait should be made known to the Bachman family. I am scanning it in case any of her descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the Bachman family ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by the family. It may not have extensive genealogy value, but it certainly does have a whole lot of family, artistic, and historic value. My email address can be found by clicking on my underlined name above. Please respond by emailing me directly and not by posting a reply on this genforum site, which I might not see. If it were a portrait of a Pease young man, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me. Bill Pease, Lancaster, PA Notify Administrator about this message?
