Researching several BACHMAN families that ended up in Wilkes Barre Luzerne Co, PA by the 1880s.
Jacob H BACHMAN b abt 1827 PA m Hannah Jane Rachel ?? was a grocer in Wilkes-Barre on 1880 census, listed as a lumberman in 1900. Lived on Walnut St. From birthplaces for their childern it appears the family lived in NJ for a few years during the 1850s.

-John/Johnson D b abt 1854 NJ d abt 1915 m m Sarah ? lived in Wilkes-Barre
-Mary A b abt 1850 PA d abt 1910 m Jerome/Jerry SHIMER lived in Wilkes-Barre
-Henry b abt 1856 is living in Wilkes-Barre in 1880
-Lewis/Louis H b abt 1860 d abt 1920 m Anne May CONNYARD
-Emma b abt 1865
Believe that Jacob H BACHMAN was son of Thomas BACHMAN b abt 1806 and Elizabeth HELLER b abt 1806 Hellertown, PA
My line is from Mary, but I would like to confirm and fill in the collateral lines.
