Need information on Jacob (Batchman) Bachman born. 7-6-1830 in Zurich Switzerland,immigrated to the United States in 1855, went to Erie County, Ohio, married Mary Ann Schmidt, moved to Barton County, Kansas in about
1877, then he died 10-6-1916 and buried Fairview Cemetery, St. John, Stafford County Kansas. Jacob changed the spelling of his name after coming to the United States to Batchman.
Jacob and Mary are parents of 13 children ( nine sons and four girls ). This couple are great grandparent of my wife. I will share what little information I have with decendants of Jacob & Mary. Please e-mail me at kiethmcl@pldi.net. . . thanks
