My 3ggf was Ferdinand Bachman who after his death, his younger brother Frederick married Ferdinand's wife in Portage, Columbia Co.Wisconsin. My 2grf August Bachman was his oldest son who was born in Saxony, Germany emigrated to the US. His younger brother John (Both boys have middle name Charles) Nov 7, 1871 which incidentally is the date noted on the Final papers of Ferdinand And his father Frederick.
No date of death has been located for Ferdinand although it is known the younger brother married his wife in 1873. Also cannot locate the intention papers of either Ferdinand or his father Frederick. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
May be related to a Fred Bachman who ran a saloon in Milwaukee who shot himself in a fit of DT's. in the late 1880's.
