Jacob and Ernestine Bach

Looking for info re: Jacob H. Bach who immigrated with his wife Ernestine and infant daughter Hermina from Hamburg, Germany, on the Bark Alexander in 1850 at the age of 43. He first settled in Fayette County, Texas, where he appears on the 1850 census along with a second daughter Ida. Sometime between 1850 and 1852 he immigrated to San Francisco, California, where he appears on the 1860 census with three new children, Adolf, Bertha, and Ernest but not daughter Ida. His occupation is listed as trader. His place of origin is listed as Wurtenburg, Germany. He probably died sometime between 1860 and 1863 as his wife Ernestine appears on the 1880 census with her second husband January Pfaff and a son Frank Pfaff born in 1864 in Sierra County, California.
