There was a Benjamin Bachus who had a land grant (400 acres) registered in the Harrison Co. Court House, Clarksburg Wva. He was alleged to have taken it up there because he was a Revolutionary veteran. I have a zerox copy of the grant.He was not a direct ancestor of mine,but I think he may have been related distantly .
William Baccus, son of Peter, came from Washington Co.,Penn into the Clarksburg area following the Revolutionary War.
