I grew up and am living in Louisiana. I don't know if we are related or not, but the Gutierrez side of my family were some of the original settlers of Tularosa. Baca is a fairly large family, which makes it difficult to find specific people.

I don't know Altagracia's parents, but I know that she was living in Tularosa by the early 1870's. Her husband Manuel Gutierrez is not listed as one of the participants in the Battle of Round Mountain, but I know that they were in Tularosa at the time (1868).

Altagracia may have been born in Polvadera, NM or Lemitar, NM. Her death register in Tularosa lists Lemitar, but family letters list Polvadera.

Any chance you might be able to locate something on those CD's of yours?

Charles
