Hi Sandy,

I agree with Joe Baber that there are lots of errors floating around on Baber genealogy. Family trees on places like ancestor.com are mostly inaccurate. Be suspicious of any family tree which doesn't provide sources for the information.

You might be interested in my posting of Nov. 11, 2007 in regard to the third Robert Baber's wife. I make the case that she was more likely Jane Phelps than Jane Pendleton.

I,too,am descended from John Perrin and Mary Baber. My line comes from their daughter, Ann, who married Enoch Hogan.

I have found the Perrin line extremely complex. There probably four different families in early Virginia. There are some excellent researchers working on this but nobody seems to be able to prove links to John's father. I suggest you look at Mary Lou Bailey's posting on the GenForum Perrin Family site for Sep 3, 2008.

I have not yet followed up on John and Mary after they moved to Garrard County, Ky, except to know that they were there (census in 1810) and apparently died soon after. Have you found a will or any deed or tax records? I would be very interested in what you may know about them.
