Carol, I wonder if your Nancy is the daughter of George Baber, Albemarle Co? My hubby's grt. grt. grandfather was Archelaus Thomas, married to Rachel A. Walker Baber, daughter of George Baber, Albemarle Co. We have not confirmed yet, but believe that the parents of Arch. Thomas were David Thomas and Anne Rodes. In fact, Kemp Thomas (brother of Arch) married a Nancy Baber about 1815. Do any of these names cross into your families? From Albemarle CO. the Baber-Thomas children went to Rockbridge Co., then Greenbriar and finally Fayette.
