I saw your posting regarding "Babers of Rutherford County". We have virtually all of the material as produced in the book, "John Babers and His Four Sons" by Lenore LeBarron Babers.
I am descended from a BABERS and am trying to see if there is a connection somewhere in the family covered by the book. This is BABERS
with an "S". The "S" was added by John Babers who was born in 1794 and married Martha Elkins, then married Alpha Lard (Laird). This John was the son of John Baber and Sarah Sally MOORMAN.
I believe my Great-Grandfather was SAMUEL BABERS, born abt 1830, possibly as late as 1840. In 1858 he married Mary Louisiana MOORE, b 1839. They had a child ( my grandmother) named Frances Martha BABERS,
b 1875. There were one or more siblings.
Do you have some details on John BABERS of 1794 descendants?
We have gathered over 600 connected names from the book and other sources for this family eminating from Chew Magna, but have been unable to link it with my grandmother. You are welcome to any of the data we have which you may have an interest in.
