I've just begun researching my great-grandfather, Thomas J. Baber. He was born May 9, 1842 in Platt County (state unknown). He married Eliza Jane McGuire (I have no info on her). They moved to CA and my grandmother, Eliza Catherine Baber was born in Watsonville (Salinas Co.) CA on Jan. 19, 1879. They later moved to Goleta (Santa Barbara Co.) CA. Eliza Catherine Baber married George Russell Willey in 1906. She died in 1949.
