Samuel P. Babbitt

I have located, mapped, and documented a "lost" cemetery in the boonies of Pike County Arkansas. Eight graves are marked with plain sandstone rocks with no markings. The 40 acres on which the cemetery is located, and 40 joining acres, was acquired March 3, 1896 with a Homestead Patent by Samuel P. Babbitt.

In this archeology work I do not get involved with the genealogy, but I did a quick search and found in the 1860 Census there was a four year old Samuel living with John and Elizabeth Babbitt in another part of Pike County.

So, if anyone is interested in more details you may contact me and I will pass on what I have.
