John BAAD was born on May 15, 1839 in New Bedford, Coshocton co, Ohio. He died on April 28, 1921 in Coshocton Co, Ohio. He was buried on May 1, 1921 in Halifax Church Cemetery, Crawford twp, Coshocton Co, Ohio.
I believe he was the son of Jacob and Charlotte (?) Baad as they are side by side in the 1880 Census.
He was married to Catharine MILLER (daughter of Frederick MILLER and Rosena SCHNEIDER) on March 8, 1866 in Baltic, Bucks twp, Tuscarawas Co, Ohio. Catharine MILLER was born on November 6, 1845 in Baltic, Bucks twp, Tuscarawas Co, Ohio. She died on January 21, 1927 in Coshocton Co, Ohio. She was buried on January 24, 1927 in Halifax Church Cemetery, Crawford twp, Coshocton Co, Ohio.
At the 1900 Census, John and Catherine Baad were still in Crawford twp, Coshocton co, Ohio. They had been married for 33 years and had had 8 children/ 7 were living at the time of the 1900 Census.
John BAAD and Catharine MILLER had the following children:
i. Jacob BAAD was born on December 6, 1866 in New Bedford, Coshocton co, Ohio. He died on June 18, 1949 in Ohio. He was buried in Halifax Church Cemetery, Crawford twp, Coshocton Co, Ohio.
ii. Henry Frederick BAAD was born on October 22, 1868 in New Bedford, Coshocton co, Ohio.
iii. Louis BAAD was born on December 4, 1870 in New Bedford, Coshocton co, Ohio.
iv. Rosa BAAD was born on October 31, 1873 in New Bedford, Coshocton co, Ohio.20 She died on December 28, 1955.
v. Charlotte BAAD was born on March 13, 1876 in New Bedford, Coshocton co, Ohio.
vi. Mary F. BAAD was born on September 25, 1879 in Near Baltic, Tuscarawas co, Ohio. She died on March 14, 1961 in Baltic, Bucks twp, Tuscarawas Co, Ohio.
vii. Otto BAAD was born on May 30, 1882 in Near Baltic, Tuscarawas co, Ohio. Otto is listed in a couple of the FAmily Reunion minutes of the Lewis and Mary Miller Meitzler family. Mary Miller would have been Otto's mother, Catherine's sister.
viii. Ida Eva BAAD was born on July 30, 1884 in Near Baltic, Tuscarawas co, Ohio.26 She died on August 21, 1884 in Baltic, Bucks twp, Tuscarawas Co, Ohio.
