Unfortunately, it is not clear who the parents of Thomas were. Nor are the sources of their information given.
Please note (sadly) daughters are not shown. The preface states that they would like someone to "come forward and defray the publication of a volume of Barnum Biography. This should contian intteresting accounts of all our Ancestors, the names of daughtes and their marriages, portraits, views of old homesteads, etc. etc". The Compilers of this Record have an immense number of letter, portraits, newspaper clippings, etc which they would readily devote to this purpose"
