I have been researching the Azbill's of Henderson County for 30 years. I think I can answer your question. Your mother Alene Spain is the grand daugther of Sarah Jane Smith. Sarah Jane's sister is Rebecca Ann Smith who married Jessie Calvin Peterson. Jessie Calvin & Rebecca had several children, two of which were Roxy Ardell Peterson that married Luther Azbill and Estell Peterson that married John Thomas Wilkerson. So you are not actually blood kin to the AZbill's or the Wilkerson's. You are blood kin to the Peterson family that married into the Azbill & wilkerson families. The blood goes from your mother (Alene) to her father William C. Spain to his mother Sarah Jane Smith to her sister Rebecca Ann Smith to her daugther Roxy Ardell Peterson and her sister Estell Peterson. I hope this doesn't confuse you even more.
