Please, can anyone help me find a lost classmate???
Her name is Jackie Washburn. In 1962 she was in the 8th grade at Rose Bud School in RoseBud, AR (White County). She was living with Joe and Jeraldine "Jerri" Alexander and their 3 children, Carolyn who was a few years older than Jackie, Jane who was a year younger and Joe who was several years younger. Jackie's father Nelson Washburn had custody of Jackie and was good friends with Joe Alexander. Jackie was living with the Alexanders when they decided to move during the time we were in the 8th grade to Lake Village, AR (Chicot County). During the move there was an accident and Joe Alexander was killed. Jane and Jackie were riding with Joe. Jane was injured (but recovered). I do not think that Jackie was very severely injured. Jackie's father came and got her after the accident.
I have gathered the informatioin on the family by contacting a sister-in-law of Jerri Alexander's, Virginia Robinson, and after locating them, talking to both Jane and her brother Joe. Their sister Carolyn and mother Jerri have both died.
Jane seemed to think that Jackie might be in California and that her married name is Clark. She also said that Jackie was divorced so do not know if she is using the Clark or Washburn name or if she might be remarried. She is supposed to have a son and a daughter. Maybe about twenty years ago Jackie and her hsband may have been living in Oklahoma.
Jane said that Jackie's dad's name was Nelson and that he was "older" and lived in Arizona. I have found a Nelson Washburn age 87 listed in a people search on the internet. He is listed in Nogales, Arizona (Santa Cruz County). I have so far been unable to find a phone number or address for this Nelson Washburn. I do not know if he is the father of Jackie.
My reason for looking for Jackie is that my class, The Rose Bud Class of 1966 is planning a class reunion for the Saturday befor Labor Day and have been trying to locate "lost" classmates who went to school with us.
I put all of the information that I have thinking that maybe someone "out there" would see something familiar. Please if you can help in any way, I would certainly appreciate it as will the rest of our class.
