Was your Joseph J Jones born about 1906 in Oklahoma and lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1940?? A Joseph J. Jones found there has a wife named Mary E.

A little more information - such as approximate dates of birth and places of birth - will help in differentiating your family from others with similar names.

If your dad was born before 1940, you can locate the family in the 1940 census, free and searchable online at Ancestry.com, then post it here.

Bear in mind we don't know how old you are, and the age of a person's parent can vary greatly - so there are a lot of years covered by your query. If you are 90, and your dad was 60 when he had you, and Joseph J. Jones was an old man when he took your dad on as a foster child, and Joseph married young, that pushes the target date for the marriage of Joseph way back in time, to the early 1800s. If everybody was young in the preceding sequence, then the target date for the marriage is much more recent.
