I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for..
The only entry I could find for Thomas Quickinstedt was in the 1920 census, living in Tucson, AZ..
Hoff, Gus A.--head--age 67--born in Germany
Alice--wife--age 60--born in Missouri
Louis--son--age 27
Ann Hoff--daughter-in-law--age 30
Clara Quickensted--age 31--daughter--born in Texas
Thomas Quickensted--age 10--grandson--born in AZ
Other entries for Clara are:
1910 Census -- in Tuscson--taken on 25 April 1910
Gus Quickenstead--age 25--clerk for railroad
Clara Quickenstead--age 23--married 4 years, no children
Interestingly enough in a 1910 census taken on 18 April 1910 in Fort Worth Texas:
Louise Quickenstedt--age 40--widowed--born in Iowa--3 children/3 still living
Gus--son--age 24--married 4 years--clerk for the railroad
Clara--daughter-in-law--age 22
Lolalu--daughter--age 14
Esie Cook--daughter--age 26--married 4 years--1 child
Cecil Cook--son-in-law--age 34--manager, horse and mule co.
“Baby” Cook--age 0
So it looks like Gus and Clara are mentioned in 2 different census records in 2 different.
The 1930 census lists, in Tucson AZ:
Alice Hoff--age 70
Gus Quickinstedl--age 45--son-in-law--accountant
Clara Quickinstedl--age 40--daughter
Walter Hall--son-in-law--age 33
Florence Hall--daughter--age 38
I hope this helps
