No I don't have any information other than 'family lore' says two brothers, William and Daniel Casner, were killed at the Mormon Lake Massacre.
The time frame has to be between 6-1875 and 3-1877.The family (the mother and five sons) arrived in AZ in 6-1875 and another brother (John Casner) went on a revenge killing spree in 3-1877 to avenge the killing of his two brothers.
Since I have newspaper accounts where William and Daniel were killed in Palo Duro Canyon, TX (near Amarillo, TX), I'm trying to determine if family lore just got it mixed up or up perhaps two other brothers were killed at Mormon Lake.
Another person did email me that a wagon train from AR on its way to OR was attacked at Mormon Lake by the Mormons, but she did not give a time frame or if people were killed. It makes sense that some of the brothers could have joined the train as they had other brothers and a sister who lived in OR; one of the brothers that came to AZ also left a wife in CA.
Thanks for any information.
