The Immigration paper, also had a 2nd Marriage Certificate in it. On February 10, 1938. Nellie Miranda Foncerranda, was remarriage to Raymond V. Gutierrez. At Santa Ana, County of Orange, California. The other secret, that Nellie M. Gutierrez, had and was unknown to most of her family. The Immigration paper, asked her, was she ever arrested. She said yes, and wrote to them. This is to the best of my knowledge. I was arrested on Saint Patricks Day, March 17, 1937. I was near a railroad, where there was a big piece of land covered by watercress growing in the runing stream. It was planted by no one, but the hand of God. My husband was bringing produce, near that area, A Chinese or Japanese man told my husband to bring him some of the watercress in crates or bags. Three days before this, happen other men and women had gone to take the watercress away.My husband had asked me to do the same thing. But I had refused to go. I was expecting a baby in 4 months and I had been very ill with ulcers in my stomach. He promissed to gave me money to go and see the doctor, so much against my will I was force to go. My brother in law, Manuel offered to go so I would`nt feel to bad. He went and we were arrested about 2 hour or so, after we were there. They took the evidence watecress, we pleaded guilty like they told us to do, so that maybe they would let us go. But, instead my brother in law Manuel Gutierrez and I were sentenced to a find of 40 or 50 dollar or jail time. We didn`t have two dollars between us. So we went to jail. I stayed in jail for 27 long days and my husband paid the rest of the fine, my children or other persons with exception of my older relatives dont know that I was convicted. So please dont let my children know about this. They thought that I was in the hospital. The day that I was going to wear my trustee uniform my husband came for me with my brother Rev. Jose Miranda. I was arrested under the name of Nellie Miranda Gutierrez. On March 17, 1937, The Courth of Norwalk, California, said that Nellie M. Gutierrez offence was a violation of the Pure Food Act.The Immigration and Naturalization Service, granted Nellie M. Gutierrez, a permanent residence requirement. But deny her, that she enter the United States legally, from Mexico to Arizona. They could not find her entrance record in Arizona. Because of this Nellie M. Gutierrez, will not become a citizen of The United States of America.
