I am a Casida looking for family history. My fathers name is Chester and his fathers name was Albert. A cousin says that we had a relative (not a Casida name) who fought in the Civil War in a cavalry unit from Illinois. Much of family history lost but here's what I have. Albert moved to New Mexico from PA via OK. His wife Clara Newlon -Casida was 1/2 Cherokee Indian. My Dad grew up on a ranch near Clayton, NM. I was born & raised in CO. Got to OK by accident. Not much else known, am encouraging my Dad to remember.

Could I be related to you? I am borrowing web time as I am not on line. any messages sent here will eventually get to me. Mailing address is PO Box 325, Burns Flat, OK 73624
Home Ph. (580)450-1424.

Please respond at your leisure. Many Casidas in SW OK and North Texas but not finding connection with them. Casida is an unusual name. Thanks for your time.
