Francisca Romero was my mother and that is her maiden name. Her parents were Teodoso Romero and Macaria Lopez Romero. Mother married my father in Clifton, in 1922. His name was Manuel Araiza Reyes. Mother grew up in Clifton and had several brothers. The only ones I have names for were: Teodoso Romero Jr who moved to the San Fernando Valley at an early age and Epimenio Romero who died in Clifton as far as I can determine. Grandpa Teodoso worked in a mine belonging to Charley Stevens who was married to Beatrice L Stevens who I have been told was Grandmother Macaria's sister.
I have been working on our genealogy for 2 years and find it very intresting. The following are the basic surnames in our family: Reyes, Araiza, Romero.
On the names of Gaberial and Leonardo Romero
I have not run across them.
Any other information you might have on Clifton/Morenci would be very helpful, we undoubtly still have some relative in that area . Thank you, Raul (I was also born in Clifton, we moved to Los Angeles CA when I was 9 months old)
