In death records, I find a Joseph Greer who died in Maricopa Co., Phoenix, AZ, in March 1969. I don't find anything for a Susie or Susan Greer.

There is also a Joseph E. Greer who died in the city, but the middle initial is wrong for your person.

While the library web page wasn't helpful, the Glendale Public Library does have all the newspapers on microfilm back to the very early 1960's. If you think the above Joseph Greer who died in 1969 is your guy, then I'd suggest contacting the West Valley Genealogy Society and asking for a volunteer to look up the obit by going to that library. The WVGS has their own obits database, but primarily only those persons who died in Sun City, AZ.

I no longer live in Phoenix, or I'd look it up for you.

You can reach the WVGS through their web site at:

http://www.azwvgs.org/

If you tell them that I suggested you contact WVGS, I think they'd find someone to do the look-up for you. They'll ask for a $5 donation, which would be nice.

If you don't think the Joseph Greer who died in 1969 is your guy, then I'm not sure where else to look. I checked the probate records and did not find any case for him.
