From the Arizona Republic, 23 Jan 1955, page 16: Services for John Thomas Tarvin, 63, who died Friday at his home, 2402 W. Tonto, will be at 3:30 p.m., Tursday, in Memory Chapel, A. L. Moore & Sons Mortuary, 335 W. Adams. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park. Mr. Tarvin was a retired plumber and came to Phoenix 3 years ago from Little Rock, ARK. He is survived by his wife, Laura V., and sons, Grover F. and Lonnie T., all of Phoenix; and two brothers, Frank and Jesse, both living in Arkansas.

Arizona Repulic, 9 Mar 2003, page B8: Grover Franklin Tarvin Jr., 70, was born in Little Rock, AR, on November 8, 1932. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Plumbers/Pipefitters Union until he retired. He married Lynn McEwin in 1956 and settled in Scottsdale, AZ. His children, Kate Lehman, Crystal Tarvin, Melissa Anderson, and John Tarvin, survive him. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sean, Loren, Billy, Annie, Matthew, Heather, Grover, Meghann, Michelle, Danielle, Amanda, Candace, Carolin, Bailey, Chantel; and his sister, Dorothy. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lynn (2002), and children, Caroline Glass (1992) and Grover F. Tarvin (1999). Services were held Thursday, Green Acres Mortuary, 401 Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ.
