Ok I located it on my map. The legal address is T20N R7E nw1/4 of nw1/4. Thats actually only 5 miles due south of central Flagstaff and 1 1/2 miles east of the runway at Pulliam Airport. It is also located 2 1/2 ese of Fort Tuthill. I don't know the exact dates of the fort, but its currently being restored, and is currently the county Fairgrounds. Keith tank is also located on Pumphouse wash, which as the name implies, was a principle early water source. The actually pumphouse is located 3 miles south of the Fort and 3 miles sw of Keith Tank. There are a LOT of good springs in this area, a rarity around here. There are some old stone walls at the pumphouse, along with a plaque although I can't remember whose name is on it. The original Fort was earthworks I believe, with the later addition of some Brick buildings. You might try a Search for Fort Tuthill, Flagstaff, however next time I go past it, I'll stop and see what information is available. The tank itself is just across the road (fs3) from the water treatment plant, that processes the water from lake Mary. A lot of folks who haul their water fill up here as you get about 1000 gallons for a quarter. The tank is on Forest Service land, so I'll call their archy and see if she knows any thing about the tank , but I am guessing at this point is it probably was used logistically for the live stock at the fort. I'll write when I find out more. You can contact me directly at
