U.S. States: Arizona: Coconino County
Do you know where in Coconino County it is? This is probably one of the 10 largest counties in the continental US. Historically at that date Circa 1890-1910 Flagstaff and Williams were thriving communities on the ATSF railroads, and the tourist trade at the south rim of Grand Canyon was just taking off. There were numerous old roads such as the Overland Road, and the Moqui Stage line; and dirt tanks at that time were almost the only source of water.
I go past the Historical Society regularly, and know a bunch of Historians and Archeologists. If you can be more specific, about location, dates, and what you THINK might be its significance, I can check for you. Otherwise there are an awful lot of dirt tanks named and unnamed in this county.
